From a throw-away log down the road, I was surprised by this piece. Often when woodturning one must cut away knots and blemishes and this, on occasion, determines the shape somewhat. That is why this piece is taller and narrower than many. It revealed a straight, striking grain and the beautiful contrast between sap and heart wood. Like us, when people take the time to go beyond our blemishes, they will see the beauty within.
This product has been carefully finished in environmentally friendly natural oils and waxes.
