Using a natural solution of steel wool and vinegar, I 'ebonised’ this young ash branch. The solution reacts to the natural tannins in the timber, with varying effect. There is something young and fresh about this piece, complimented with an ancient kauri insert and lid. There doesn’t have to be a ‘generation gap’. This product has been carefully finished in environmentally friendly natural oils and waxes.
